With the installation of a new packaging line, Fruttagel has introduced innovations to the 'family' format market. The gradual and unremitting reduction in the size of Italian families has resulted in a preference for 1.5 litre fruit beverages formats for this target, as opposed to those of 2 litres.

Until last year the only format available on the market was the classic Tetrapak 1.5 litre brick, technically known as the 'Slim'. Consumers found it hard to grip this product without the contents gushing out of the lid and even harder to pour it into the glass without juice ending up on the table and tablecloth. However, the new 1.5 Tetra Gemina format pours extremely accurately.

The reduced size of the pack's grip area makes it easier for smaller hands to hold the product and, most importantly, the splashing that used to occur when the product was poured into a glass is now just a distant memory!

Fruttagel takes even the tiniest inconveniences experienced by the consumer extremely seriously, and in 2010 one of the largest Italian supermarket chains chose Fruttagel and Tetra Gemina 1.5 litre packs for its line of house brand fruit beverages.
